Description
You are three keys long. The keyboard is the size of a parking lot. Your manager wants the spreadsheet by lunch. Worming From Office is a single-player, offline physics comedy about doing office work with your whole body. There is no shortcut around the desk: every letter you type, every cell you click and every reply you send to a coworker is a physical act performed by a floppy pink worm on a giant workstation. THE DESK IS THE GAME Crawl over separate keycaps with real travel and sound, line up your head and bash one key at a time. Push or drag the desk mouse and the cursor on the in-world monitor follows it; bash the mouse button to click, roll its back to scroll. Mistakes are typed into the real document, so back up and hit Backspace like everybody else. Ctrl and Shift only work while something holds them down, so park a die on the modifier and stretch for the letter. A COMPUTER THAT ACTUALLY WORKS The monitor runs a small operating system backed by your save, not a picture of one. WorkGrid gives you 30 spreadsheet files across number entry, totals, comparisons, formatting and copy-paste, and pays only for a correct submission. Chatter brings a manager and three coworkers with 12 conversations, choices and physically typed replies. Market lets you trade the shares of four fictional companies. Supply Shop sells 12 functional upgrades and 8 cosmetics, and every one of them changes something on the desk. AN EIGHT-STEP CAREER Log in by typing your password with your face. Earn your first paycheck, buy grip socks, make an office friend, finish two training programs, become a trusted analyst, get camera-ready and face the promotion interview. Requirements are always shown, money is always earnable, and exploring never fails the normal career. A deadline career unlocks after your promotion for players who want pressure. A DAY WITH A CLOCK A readable office clock, daylight that turns to evening, a seven-day calendar of events and an end-of-day report. Sleep in the plant pot to start the next day with a clearly explained modifier. Drink water for a rested bonus. Print and scan a report for a daily payout. A DESK WORTH EXPLORING Answer eight telephone events, from market tips to a recruiter impressed by your lack of skeleton. Win a Snake-style reading exercise and a Breakout-style gym session for perk points. Bounce on a trampoline to reach the upper shelf. Hire two worm interns who live on the desk and can be picked up. Claim 31 achievements on a physical smartphone, find secrets between the desk objects and take on the optional wormhole course with checkpoints and a checkpoint-free rematch. THE INTERVIEW Buy the webcam, set up the human-photo props and pass yourself off as a person during a five-beat video call by headbutting the right button on a physical soundboard in time. Fail, and you retry from a checkpoint with everything you earned intact. BUILT FOR PC AND XBOX Full gamepad support with on-screen Xbox prompts, a 10-foot interface on TV, and keyboard-and-mouse controls on PC. Versioned browser-style save with export and import, a Recover Essential Objects action for anything that rolls off the desk, separate music and effects volume, camera sensitivity and reduced camera motion. No account, no online connection, no purchases.
