The dark is waiting. Your lantern still burns. Unfading Lantern is a gothic action-platformer about a small lantern-bearer descending into the depths. With a sword in hand, a hammer on your back and a single light to guide you, you must reach the heart of the depths. But beware: as your health drops, your lantern dims and the darkness closes in. EVERY DESCENT IS DIFFERENT The halls rebuild themselves on every run. Platforms, traps, enemies and hidden passages shift each time you go down. Don’t memorize — master. FLUID, SATISFYING COMBAT Chain fast sword combos, smash shields with your heavy hammer, then throw it and call it back. Roll through attacks, take a sip from your flask to recover, and turn your lantern into a weapon with the Light Lance. At the very bottom: the Dark Mirror and the Lord of Shadows. Read their moves, find the opening, bring them down with your light. GOTHIC HORROR ATMOSPHERE Face hunched hunters, wolf-like beasts, crawling corpses and clawed wraiths in a gothic world given depth by light and shadow. FALL, GROW STRONGER, DESCEND AGAIN Spend the sparks you collect on permanent upgrades at the Hearth: more health, sharper steel, a spare flask, a deeper pouch. Even when you fall, half your sparks stay with you. Pick boons between stages to shape each run into a new build.
