Description
Before the endless corridors, there was one experiment. One second. One room that should never have existed. Backrooms Genesis is a first-person survival horror game about the moment reality began to break. Descend through three chapters: an abandoned research laboratory, fractured service galleries and a towering containment array. Bulkheads shift, routes change and the origin waits at the center. DOCUMENT THE IMPOSSIBLE Investigate nine anomalies, recover their signals and keep the evidence in your field journal. Decode each chapter's receiver to reach the next threshold. Use your scanner when a reality fracture changes the way forward. DECIDE WHAT THE BACKROOMS BECOME Stabilize the experiment to slow fractures and restore sanity, or catalyze it for supplies at the cost of greater danger. Your choices across the campaign lead to three different endings. SURVIVE TOGETHER Play solo or form a team of up to four through direct-connect co-op. Carry and share batteries, almond water and stimulants. Stay close to recover sanity, revive fallen wanderers and escape together. Beware the delayed figures and strange radio echoes: company is not always comfort. ECHO HUNT Try the bonus Prop Hunt mode. Hide as an object or become the entity hunting the other players. Play solo practice or compete with friends as roles rotate between rounds. Xbox controller and keyboard/mouse controls are supported throughout the game. Adjust sensitivity, brightness, volume, reduced flicker and graphics quality to suit your setup. Completed campaign chapters save local checkpoints. Multiplayer uses direct IPv4 connections and requires a reachable host on TCP port 27019. Remote play may require router and firewall configuration. Matchmaking and built-in voice chat are not included; radio echoes are in-game effects. Screenshots were captured in the Windows development build with Xbox controller prompts.
