Return to a divided Honshu as Ren, a lone ronin determined to free the mountain roads and bring his people home. Fight through twenty-one missions across three chapters, from occupied settlements and misty passes to the final stronghold of Lord Kuroda. Chain light strikes into heavy cuts, read incoming attacks and dodge before the enemy blade lands. Face swordsmen, archers and powerful captains while advancing through compact, combat-focused environments. Worn timber, stone paths, natural foliage and weathered clothing bring a grounded Japanese atmosphere to the journey. Follow your mission markers, defeat the checkpoint guards and reach the crimson exit banner to open the road ahead. Clear objectives, enemy counts and combat effects help you track each encounter. Earn ryo and resolve through combat and mission clears. Visit the forge to improve your katana, vitality, precision and six combat techniques. Replay cleared missions to strengthen your ronin and keep progressing at your own pace. Play with keyboard and mouse or an Xbox-compatible controller, including menu navigation, pause and retry. Music accompanies the journey, restarting when you begin a mission or return to the main menu. No advertisements or real-money purchases interrupt your adventure.
