Voivod: The Nuclear Warrior

Enter a brutal post-apocalyptic world in a retro-inspired action-platformer blending fast-paced run-and-gun combat with Metroidvania exploration. You are the Voivod, a warrior lost in a wasteland of nuclear devastation, biomechanical horrors and fractured dimensions. Your body is mutating, your mind has been shattered, and fragments of your memory are scattered across a world in decay. Guided by your disembodied consciousness, Nothingface, you must recover the missing pieces, uncover the truth and find a way out. Fight through wasted landscapes, cybernetic fortresses and ruined cities. Shoot and slash your way through mutant creatures, face powerful bosses, unlock new weapons and abilities, and explore a nonlinear world filled with secrets, upgrades and hidden paths. Based on the universe of the legendary metal band Voivod, the game is officially licensed and developed in close collaboration with all four members, each actively contributing to the project in their own way. With gritty pixel art, a soundtrack adapted from Voivod’s original music, intense combat and a surreal sci-fi atmosphere, the game transforms the band’s dystopian universe of machinery and cosmic horror into a full-fledged Metroidvania adventure.
