Description
The Vesper Array is falling out of orbit, and the archive inside it has started rewriting its own records to survive. You are the Signalbearer. Twelve Resonants walk in with you, and they think for themselves. REAL-TIME COMBAT, FOUR ORDERS You fight directly: light and heavy attacks, a dash with invulnerable frames, a guard, and a frame-specific interrupt tool. The squad is never micromanaged. Four orders — Rally, Focus, Divide, Recover — go out on a 1.2 second cadence, and the Command Loom slows time while you choose one on a radial and preview exactly which Resonants each order will move. TWELVE RESONANTS THAT ACT WITHOUT YOU Three Guards, three Assaults, three Controls, three Restores, each with a signature action. BASTION plants a plate. HUSH silences a caster. RIVET executes the wounded. MENDER stabilizes fastest. CHOIR cleanses. PATCH sends drones. Three protocols per Resonant — Steady, Bold, Specialist — change how far they roam and how much risk they accept. A Resonant that drops goes unstable, then offline, and someone has to reach them. EIGHTEEN ENCOUNTERS, NOT EIGHTEEN ARENAS Every encounter is an objective machine with its own failure state: hold a windward relay, purge a rivet bloom, decode borrowed faces, sever a shielded loom, escort memory ingots through reversing belts, split the squad across two counterweighted rooms. Eighteen templates, three variants each, eighteen enemy patterns and two synchronization trials. BUILD A CIRCUIT, NOT A LOADOUT Seventy-two run modules across Pulse, Drift, Ward and Mend. Emitters fire on triggers you cause; amplifiers need their family present; couplers bridge two families and cap at three; conductors rewrite a squad rule. Upgrades, salvage and rerolls are all paid in Charge. THREE APEX PROTOCOLS The Ferrite Shepherd assembles itself and exposes a core between sweeps. The Index Serpent seals in an order you have to read. ORISON predicts where you will stand and shields against repetition — vary your commands or watch them stop working. A ROUTE YOU CHOOSE Forty-five route signals with a hundred and thirty-five choices, all seeded and disclosed: every check shows its base odds, its modifiers and the final number before you confirm. Signal Gates repair the squad before each apex. Suspend between encounters and resume the whole expedition later. SIX FRAMES, LONG PROGRESSION Relay Blade, Arc Driver, Vector Hooks, Null Projector, Lumen Gauntlet and Phase Spindle, with twelve augments each. Twenty-four Signal Loads raise both the difficulty and the score. Thirty cosmetics are earned by play. Sixty archive fragments explain what the archive did, and three endings close it. PLAYS ON PAD OR KEYBOARD Full rebinding for both, an Xbox-safe ten-foot layout, and no mouse required. Text and caption scaling, three colour-vision palettes, shake sliders, reduced motion and flash, aim assist, and a Story speed for a slower run. One expedition takes about thirty-five minutes and never touches the network.
