Halo: Campaign Evolved rebuilds the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign and expands on it. The ten original missions have been remade with updated visuals and cinematics, refined pacing and wayfinding, and modernized gameplay. Three brand-new missions have also been added as part of Operation: METEORITE, a new adventure set before the events of the original campaign featuring Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson. The game expands the combat sandbox with nine additional weapons from across the Halo series, new enemy types and variants, vehicle hijacking, and the ability to pilot the Covenant Wraith. It also features 42 Skulls, the most ever included in a Halo campaign, alongside new replay features such as Campaign Remix.
Yes. Halo: Campaign Evolved supports four-player online cooperative play across the full campaign on console and PC, plus two-player split-screen on console only. Cross-platform play and cross-progression are supported during online co-op, so you can play together and keep your progress across console and PC. Both players must be signed in to their own account profile to play split-screen.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is available in a Standard Edition and a Digital Premium Edition, with a Premium Edition Upgrade for players who already own the Standard Edition (or if you are a Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscriber). The Premium Edition adds the Alpha Halo Armory Pack with six weapon skins and five armor skins, a digital game manual, a digital artbook, and the short story Halo: Hungry Buzzards, which expands on the Operation METEORITE missions.
PC Game Pass includes all Halo titles. Premium Game Pass tier includes Halo Infinite, The Master Chief Collection, Halo Wars, Halo: Spartan Assault, and Halo: Spartan Strike. Essential Game Pass tier includes Halo 5 and Halo Wars 2.
Online console multiplayer/co-op requires a Game Pass subscription that includes online multiplayer (sold separately). All downloads and updates require significant storage and broadband internet connection (ISP fees apply). Additional storage space may be required for mandatory game updates.
