Pixel Pawns: Chess Duels

Your next move starts a fight. Pixel Pawns turns every chess capture into an animated pixel-art duel. Pawns strike with sword and shield. Knights charge. Rooks crush their foes. Magic lights up the board. Plan the capture, then watch your pieces fight it out. Play on Windows PC or Xbox. Challenge four AI difficulty levels, or face a friend in local two-player chess. On Xbox, share one controller or assign a controller to each side. On PC, use a mouse and keyboard or a controller. The battles bring your moves to life; the outcome still follows chess rules. Set up a fork, spring a trap, and work towards checkmate on a torch-lit board filled with armoured soldiers, mounted knights and spellcasters. Refined character animations and varied finishing moves give captures their own personality, with attacks and reactions depending on the pieces involved. Watch the duel unfold, or fast-forward it to keep the match moving. Play offline, without an in-game account or ads.
