Meet Linda and Joshua, high school sweethearts who met at their school’s Lairs and Lizards club. They’ve spent 10 years role playing the same characters, a cross bow shooting demon hunter and a spell slinging wizard, respectively. Today they’re taking on a different kind of quest, they are getting married, in real life. It’s a small wedding themed after their latest campaign in L&L where they fought the Grim Reaper. They start to exchange their vows, “...through sickness and health..., hard times and good times..., till death do us part”. The priest looks at them and laughs. Laughs manically while slowly growing and transforming. “You’ve been playing make belief your whole life and you’re going to tell me with the divorce rate being as high as it is you’re actually going to stay together? Let me save you the effort, just go home or do you still want to get married?” Linda and Joshua simultaneously nod their heads. The grim reaper’s eyes light up. “Let’s see how serious about your vows you are then!” Linda and Joshua get teleported away and awake to find themselves in a cemetery wearing their L&L character’s clothing.
