The lines which service the heart of Manchester date back as far as the 1840s. The mainline through Stockport was established as a major trunk route and quickly became overloaded. It was supplemented in the early 1900s with the addition of the Styal Line. In 1993, a spur would be built off this new line to serve Manchester Airport. In Train Sim World 5: Manchester Airport Commuter, you’ll be busy operating frequent Northern Trains services. Either driving or as a conductor, take the BR Class 323 to Manchester via Stockport, or via the triangle junction to the airport.
