Yes, you can return to your prior subscription by cancelling Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and re-purchasing your prior subscription. To cancel, sign into your Microsoft account and select Cancel subscription. You’ll have an option to end your subscription on its expiration date. Depending on your subscription’s status, you may also have an option to end it immediately with a refund of the price you paid for Ultimate only. Note that the upgrade of any prepaid time can’t be reverted to Xbox Live Gold or other Xbox Game Pass plans and is not eligible for refund.
Yes. After you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you can continue to redeem Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass for Console and PC Game Pass codes. These codes will automatically convert to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate based on the following conversion table. Conversion ratio subject to change.

To stop being charged, cancel your subscription or turn off recurring billing in your Microsoft account (account.microsoft.com/services) or on your Xbox console, before the next billing date. You can receive a refund within 30 days from your initial purchase by cancelling your subscription. This does not affect your additional rights under applicable law.
