With Windows ME you need to install ICS before you can share the connection.

Installing ICS

  1. From the Start menu, choose Control Panel and clickAdd/Remove Programs from the left panel.
  2. Select Communications on the list of programs and clickDetails.
  3. Click the Internet Connection Sharing check box.
  4. Click OK and OK.
  5. When asked to reboot your computer, clickOK.

Enabling ICS

  1. When your computer has rebooted, the Home Networking Wizard appears. Click Next.


  2. Below "Yes, this computer uses the following:" click A direct connection to my ISP using the following device:


  3. Select the WAN card from the drop-down list. ClickNext.
    If both cards have the same name, you might have to guess.
  4. Below "Do you want other computers on your home network to use the Internet connection on this computer?" ClickYes.


  5. Select the remaining card on the drop-down list (you should see only one). Click Next.


  6. Click No, do not create a Home Networking Setup disk. This is not necessary for your Xbox connection.
  7. Click Next.


  8. Click Finish. when a message appears, restart your computer.
    When your computer has restarted, the following message appears.


  9. Click OK.
