It has been 1 year and 8 months since the release of his last album "Exclusive Code"  Some people say that the reason Yida hasn't released a new album is because he couldn't write any songs. In reponse to the rumor, he smiled and teased himself, "During the production of my last album, I could write 8 to 10 songs a day! But somehow my inspiration ran dry and I simply couldn't write anything. You know...writing songs is the only thing that matters to me!" He fell silent for a while, and sighed,"But I guess they were right, I couldn't write a single song...a song that represents me."

"Complete Performance" is the first single of his new album in 2007, telling the story of Yida's struggle. His buddy Alan Kuo has been by his side when Yida was going through the tough time having no inspiration at all. Alan knows that Yida never explains too much about things on his mind. Though Yida hasn't said anything, Alan could see his determination, and wrote this song "Complete Performance" for Yida.

Yida's New Album "Complete Performance" Released In 2007

When Yida showed Alan the music he has composed, he said,"Hey man, help me create the lyrics for this tune about how tragic I've been these days." Alan immediately did so for him, telling people how a song writer simply wants to show himself to the world without holding back, yet to accomplish this dream is the toughest thing on earth. No matter how tough the process is, starting from this song, Yida has finally transformed himself from a singer/music composer to a producer. From this album on, he can finally show everyone the "Complete Performance" of Yida.

"Complete Performance" is a song that cannot be defined.It starts with the piano solo, proceeded by Yida's voice, different elements then join in the song one after another: hymn, bass, and electric guitar playing ferociously, altogether creating a sense of heaviness. Towards the end of the song, we can hear a bizarre string melody playing in the background, conveying the struggle, agitation and anger Yida has been going through during the time of being trapped, stuck in the middle of nowhere.
