Evan Yo

From a very young age, Evan was a music student at the Guangren Catholic Elementary School and later at the Affiliated Senior High School Of National Taiwan Normal University, where he had a very solid grounding in classical music. In 2005, he was a finalist in a national competition and entered the Music Department in National Taiwan Normal University. This year, he is a sophomore. From the time when he was a little boy, he practiced the violin as his main instrument and piano as his secondary instrument, but he also specialized in study of the guitar and the Chinese zither!

When he was 14, he signed a contract with an agent and in the following five years, in addition to his popular compositions, Evan produced his own demos and started learning how to edit music. While he has a classical background, he prefers popular music. Avril Lavigne, Christina Aguilera, David Tao, Lee Hom and Jay Chou are all Evan’s idols. Because he also likes movies, many of his inspirations come from the big screen. For this reason, Evan’s compositions are a cinematic fusion of popular and classical music, which makes his songs appeal even more to young people today!

First album coming in early 2007!

At only 19 years of age, he has been cultivating his musical ability for five years already, and has created more than 50 songs during this time. Evan is full of energy, a singer with experience and creativity as well as the hallmark of a star. In addition to today’s superstars such as David Tao, Lee Hom and Jay Chou, Evan is waiting in the wings for his opportunity as part of a new generation of talent. One of the album’s key songs, “Chengwai” begins with a guitar and finishes with a passage played by several pianos. “Chengwai” is about two young people and a girl who has difficulty dealing with uncontrollable passion.
