Forza Reloaded for the Ultimate Racing ExperienceXbox 360™ & Subaru unleash the much anticipated sequel to 16 May 2007
Unveiled at the Subaru Hub today, the new and improved Forza Motorsport 2 comes loaded with more than 300 of the world’s hottest cars which gamers can collect, personalise and race. The game will officially hit the stores on May 29 at the recommended retail price of S$69.90. Without even leaving the house, you can now feel every nuance of your car and the road with the Xbox 360™Wireless Racing Wheel. “Forza Motorsport 2 is for everyone. The game was designed with a two-pronged goal of introducing game enthusiasts to cars and car enthusiasts to games,” said Mr Tony Boatman, Group Marketing Manager, South-east Asia, Entertainment and Devices Division. “It has optional driving assists for the novice, as well as gameplay options for serious car aficionados to put their performance-tuned creations to the test on the tracks.” Gamers can experience real-world tracks modelled out of 12 environments, including several real-world licensed circuits such as Silverstone, Tsukuba, and Laguna Seca. With Forza Motorsport 2, take your car to the garage and install alternative engines, suspension kits, bolt-on superchargers, brakes, rims, racing slicks, and more. Or choose from the near endless visual personalisation paint options and upgrade shops before logging into Xbox LIVE for some intense online wheel-to-wheel racing. In conjunction with the launch, Motor Image Enterprises, the distributor of Subaru cars in Singapore and seven other key markets in Asia, will be hosting a special “Pimp My Subaru” interactive activity from 14 to 21 May 2007 where web surfers get to vote their preferred modifications to the Subaru Impreza. This can be done by logging on to www.motorimage.net or www.forza2.com.sg to cast your votes and decide how the Impreza will be customised by combining different licensed rims, performance parts, and aftermarket body kits. The “pimping” will be done based on the most popular votes cast. The actual modification process will be filmed and uploaded on the website by 23 May 2007. “Today, technology is closing the gap between virtual motor racing and reality. Subaru’s partnership with Xbox is the perfect match to bridge the gap between “real” and “virtual”. Using a real car, our mechanics will ‘pimp’ a Subaru Impreza based on your votes and transform it into your ideal racing machine,” said Mr Glenn Tan, Group Chief Executive of Motor Image Enterprises. Subaru fans will be pleased to know that the special edition of Forza Motorsport 2comes bundled exclusively with the definite performance car, the SubaruImpreza WRX STI S204. Buckle up, you’re in for the ride of your life! |
