20060811WVG_SGTo kick off the first year of Xbox™ 360 being the World Cyber Games’ “Official Console Partner”, Xbox has lined up a series of activities and games preview for visitors at the “Jump In” booth during the inaugural WCG Asian Championship on 10-13 August 2006.

Xbox Game On Inter School Challenge

Xbox brings next generation gaming to Singapore schools with the “Xbox Game On Inter School Challenge”.  Open to Singapore students aged 13 and above, this nation-wide cyber-gaming competition sees competitors decking it out on 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ and Project Gotham Racing 3®   to win over SG$10,000 worth of Xbox Prizes.   Students can sign up at www.gameon.com.sg and must be currently attending either a secondary school or tertiary institute.

First Look at Games

Xbox will preview a series of upcoming games at the“Jump In” booth. A first for Singapore, WCG Asian Championship visitors will get to see a showcase of the top games from Xbox’s Live Arcade (XBLA) portfolio as well as the latest from the creators of the Grand Theft Auto™ and Midnight Club ™ franchises, Rockstar Games Presents™ Table Tennis.

Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved (XBLA)

Pac-Man World 3 (XBLA)

‘Pac-Man’ may be celebrating 25 years, but the timeless game still plays like its 1981. This ‘classic’ becomes the new ‘next-gen’ with the arrival of ‘Pac-Man’ on Xbox Live Arcade. The little yellow pellet-eater from Namco/Bandai is the latest retro title to debut packed with tons of features exclusive to Xbox 360.
