MTV Gives Singapore Gamers an Exclusive Sneak Peek of the Next-Generation Xbox13 May 2005
People in Singapore will be joining the rest of the world in a massive cultural phenomenon as the next-generation Xbox makes its debut in a special global TV premier on MTV: Music Television. MTV: Music Television and Microsoft Corp. has forged a global marketing alliance to unveil the next-generation Xbox® video game system on MTV channels in the United States, Asia Pacific and Europe - a first for the video game industry. The highly anticipated console will be revealed to video game fanatics, music lovers and MTV viewers via a high-energy half-hour program titled “MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed.” The special will be hosted by entertainment icon, seasoned gamer and Xbox fanatic Elijah Wood, known globally for the Academy Award-winning “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. The global broadcast will start May 12, Thursday, in North America and will travel around the world. It will reach Asia with the first broadcast in Singapore on Saturday, May 14 at 4:00 PM (Singapore time) on Starhub Cable TV Channel 20 with the program making its debut in the subsequent two weeks across different countries in the region.
