Lead an Army of Four – "Brute Force" Muscles onto Store Shelves

7 August 2003

Microsoft Singapore today announced that the Xbox exclusive team-based shooter "Brute Force" will be available at retailers on 14 August for an estimated retail price of S$69.90. Developed by Digital Anvil, "Brute Force" provides gamers with the ultimate in team-based combat that lets players take on missions with guns blazing, in silent stealth or anywhere in between. Through split-screen or System Link, "Brute Force" also pushes the limits of cooperative play by seamlessly blending single and multiplayer modes.

“We’re very excited about this title – the reviews in the US have been fantastic, and the buzz on it in Singapore has also been good. We’re expecting this to be one of our top-selling Xbox titles this year,” said Alex Chua, Xbox Product Marketing Manager for Microsoft Singapore.

And exclusively for Asia, there is a limited edition Brute Force specially-packaged box that includes a bonus Brute Force pewter figurine, featuring two of the Brute Force characters – your choice of either Brutus or Hawk.

Take control of any one of four highly specialized super-commandos. Whether the encounter requires stealth, tactics, sniping or just “Brute Force,” the team is ready and able. Experience the intensity of a shooter game with the cunning strategies of team-based tactical combat. Play solo through six worlds in the extensive single-player campaign, or play co-operatively with up to three friends via split-screen or System Link. Battle it out in a multitude of competitive death-match modes with up to eight players.

When "Brute Force" was launched in the US in June, it achieved the largest first day sell-through of any Xbox title in US national retail chain Gamestop's history. The week following the launch of "Brute Force" was also the biggest first week of sales for any Microsoft Game Studios Xbox title since the console was launched.
