Console Error Messages with Xbox 360

Check the following list of error messages for information about probable causes of and/or solutions for each.

Game Problems

• "This game requires an update, but the update could not be found." For information, see System and Game Updates for Xbox 360.
• "This game has been updated to an incompatible version." If you see this message, call 000-800-440-1179 .

Disc Problems

• "This disc is unreadable." For help with scratched, dirty, or otherwise unreadable discs, see either of these Knowledge Base articles:

  • The game disc is scratched or will not play.
