Q: What is changing?

A: "Xbox Video" is now "Microsoft Movies & TV". Our new name speaks to the breadth of Microsoft devices that our customers use to watch movies & TV shows – from PCs, Tablets and Phones, to watching videos on their Xbox consoles or on the Web.

Q: What will happen to my previously-purchased movies, and TV shows?

A: If you previously purchased movies & TV shows from Xbox Video or the Zune Marketplace, your collection will still be available in the Movies & TV app. To view your previous collection, be sure to use the same the Microsoft account that was used to acquire the content.

Q: Where do I go to shop for new movies and TV shows in Windows 10?

A: On Windows 10, go to the Windows Store app in order to shop for the newest movies & commercial-free, next-day TV shows. Or shop on the web.*

Q: Where do I go to shop for new movies or TV shows on my Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone 8 devices?

A: Users of Windows 8.X, Windows RT and Windows Phone 8.X will continue to use the Xbox Video apps on their devices to shop for the newest movies & commercial-free, next-day TV shows. Windows 8 users can also shop on the web.*

A: Users of Xbox One or Xbox 360 will continue to go to the Xbox Store to shop for the newest movies & commercial-free, next-day TV shows.

Q: Where do I go to shop for new movies or TV shows on my older Windows PC or Macintosh computer?

A: Customers using Windows XP/Vista/7.X/8.X/10.X and Macintosh computers can shop for the newest movies & commercial-free, next-day TV shows on the Web .*

Q: Can I shop for new movies or TV shows on my Windows Phone 10 device?

A: We are working hard on the Microsoft Movies & TV app for Window Phone 10, and plan to release it late 2015/early 2016.

Q: Is a Microsoft account required to purchase or rent movies & TV shows?

A: Yes. A Microsoft account is required for you to purchase or rent movies from Microsoft. Go to the Windows Store, the Xbox Store, or the Web and search, browse, rent or buy your favorite movies and TV shows.

Step 3: Enjoy

Watch with the Microsoft Movies & TV app on your device or on the Web. When you rent or buy from Microsoft, it's playable on Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox or the Web.
