Music Showcase

Great videos from great artists every month? Seemed like a great idea to us so we’ve partnered with Sony BMG Records to bring you the cream of the crop for you to be able to download direct to your Xbox 360.

Kings of Leon

April's Music Showcase sees the unmistakable Kings of Leon with a collection of 5 of their finest videos to date. For those unfamiliar with them, they are a young rock band from Tennessee. They consist of three brothers -- Caleb (lead singer, rhythm guitar), Nathan (drums), and Jared (bass) Followill -- plus Matthew Followill (lead guitar), their first cousin. Their songs teem with primal emotions and rangy rhythms - noise sensed as sanctuary, friction felt as release, honesty jumped on for all it's worth because it's the only bankable road to salvation. Kings of Leon are, in general, a hauntingly unusual, yet classic band. 'On Call' is the first single from their third album 'Because Of The Times' and is the main showcase video this month.

This is accompanied by 4 classic tracks from their 2 previous albums "Aha Shake Heartbreak" and "Youth and Young Manhood". We have as follows:

  • Molly's Chambers
  • King of the Rodeo
  • The Bucket
  • Four Kicks

All videos will cost 230 Microsoft Points to download

Watch exclusive live clips of Kings of Leon in concert at Hammersmith Apollo from 23rd May only on | MSN.

Groove Armada

Stalwarts of the UK dance scene for over 10 years, Groove Armada are back after a short hiatus concentrating on solo projects and dj-ing pursuits. Their new single "Get Down" is the stomping first single from the forthcoming Soundboy Rock album

"Get Down" features guest vocal from Stush, and has been 'tearing it up' and suchlike 'in the clubs' since new year. It will be available to download from April 23rd, with 12" and CD released April 30th, along with a host of extra remixes to download. We have it now for you to download on Xbox Live Marketplace - again at 230 Points.

Lil Chris

Lil’ Chris (aka Lowestoft 16 year old Chris Hardman) is the hybrid son of Southpark, Jackass, Dirty Sanchez. He is reminiscent of no young singer, musician or even actor out there right now. If comparable with anything, he’s comparable with a cartoon character. Imagine Bart Simpson four years on, armed with a guitar and ready to rock the world.

His music is Rock with pop sensibility. Comparable more with The Buzzcocks than McFly.

Debut single the infections “Checkin it Out” is a no holds barred pop-rock anthem that sprints out of the blocks, juggernauts at 100 MPH and can be felt by everyone in the same postcode.

This is accompanied by “Gettin’ Enough??” , a classic new wave track mixed with Lil’ Chris’ own unique style. He has been a busy boy and releases his third single Figure It Out, on 26th February. All tracks are taken from his critically acclaimed self titled album and are available for 230 Microsoft Points.
