Follow these steps on your original Xbox® console to collect the information you need to get your gamer card or activate your account for use with Xbox 360.
 | 1. Turn on your Xbox® console with no disc in the disc tray. |
 | 2. From the Xbox Dashboard, select Account Management, and then press A. |
 | 3. On the Account Management screen, select Credit Card, and then press A. You'll receive the following message: "Enter the last four digits of the credit card used for this Xbox Live account." |
 | 4. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter the last four digits of the credit card used for your Xbox Live account. Select Done, and then press A to view the Credit Card screens. |
 | 5. Write down the information on the Credit Card screens. (Your credit card information takes up two screens, so make sure you select Continue to see it all.) |
 | 6. Log in at www.xbox.com with the details of your Windows Live ID (formerly known as your Microsoft Passport Network account) and your credit card information and follow the prompts to finish creating your gamer card. |
