Fall 2010 Xbox LIVE Update

Updated November 1, 2010

The latest update for Xbox LIVE delivers interactive features and services that let you experience entertainment in a completely new way.

First and foremost is integration with the revolutionary new Kinect sensor for Xbox 360 which lets you play and interact with your Xbox console without any controller required. Control a movie with the sound of your voice, or a wave of your hand. Easily connect with your friends in extraordinary new ways using video chat with Kinect.

The update also includes ESPN on Xbox LIVE, bringing the stadium experience into your living room. Access over 3500 live, global events from ESPN3.com, including out-of-market programming, plus daily clips from ESPN.com.

Another new feature is the Family Center, a Gold Family Pack exclusive, which provides simplified family management and safety settings through Family Center, activity monitoring via e-mail and Xbox.com, points allowances, family‐friendly content and discounts, and unified billing to help manage your family's entertainment budget.

How Do I Get It?

Getting the update free from Xbox LIVE is the easiest and best option because your console will be automatically updated as new system software is released. To update your Xbox 360 console on Xbox LIVE, just connect to Xbox LIVE with either a Gold or free membership. Your console will be restarted when you join Xbox LIVE, so be sure to save your game progress.

If you don't have an Xbox LIVE account or have a slow Internet connection, you can use a USB drive or burn a DVD/CD to update your console. Get complete details on how to do it here:
