Troubleshoot Account Migration for Phantasy Star Subscribers

If you're having trouble migrating your existing Xbox Live account information to your Xbox 360™ console, it might be for one of the following reasons:

• The credit card you used to secure your Xbox Live membership has expired.
• The credit card you used to pay the monthly fee for Phantasy Star Online (PSO) or other Xbox Live premium content has expired.
• The credit card you used to pay the monthly fee for Phantasy Star Online (PSO) or other Xbox Live premium content was canceled.

If any of the above conditions prevails, your Xbox 360 console will display the generic message Xbox Live sign-up is unavailable.

To complete account migration after encountering this type of error:

1. Turn on your original Xbox console (not your Xbox 360 console) with no disc in the tray, sign in with your gamertag, and go to the Xbox Live area of the Xbox Dashboard.
2. Select your gamer profile, then Account Management.
3. Go to the Credit Cards screen and replace the outdated credit-card information with data from a different card. Save this information.
4. Turn on your Xbox 360 console with no disc in the tray and go to the Xbox Live area of the Xbox Dashboard.
5. If you're signed in with a profile, sign out (X) and select Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live.
   
   
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to migrate your profile to your Xbox 360 console.
