The following equipment has been tested with Xbox Live and can be used to connect to Xbox Live with Comcast:
For Comcast, you can share your Internet connection with Comcast PRO. Alternately, we suggest youuse either a direct connection or a router connection. For more information, choose the way you want to connect to Xbox Live. The router scenario documented aboveis not directly supported by Comcast. Comcast does support the sharing of one Comcast high speed Internet connection by multiple devices:
Another solution is to use Comcast PRO. When using Comcast PRO, each device on your network isable to communicate independently of other devices. You do not need to reconfigure your Xbox console with Comcast PRO, as the default setting (automatic) allows your Xbox console to receive an IP address. For a direct connection, you will need a standard Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors. To directly connect your hardware:
