As director of the Xbox Advanced Technology Group (ATG) at Microsoft Corp., Scott Henson is responsible for making Xbox® the ultimate platform for game developers. ATG’s services to the worldwide video games industry include proactive support for programmers, content creators and content services, as well as helping game designers, producers, artists, musicians and sound designers realize their creative visions.

Henson has been with Microsoft for more than a decade, working with hundreds of third-party companies on Microsoft® Windows®, Internet, handheld, entertainment and gaming platform strategies on a diverse array of products including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition (Windows Me), Windows XP, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows Mobile™ and Xbox. During his Xbox tenure, Henson was primarily charged with working with publishers and developers throughout the industry to make XboxLive®, the world’s largest unified, all-broadband gaming service, a reality.

Henson earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1992, where he was recognized as the Outstanding Electrical Engineering Student for creating applications for Microsoft’s emerging product, Windows.
