Palpable excitement throbs in the streets across Asia as Xbox 360 hits retail stores amidst a frenzy of launch day extravaganza heralding the new era of digital entertainment
HONG KONG, March 16th, 2006– In a debut that has the trappings of a major Hollywood movie, Xbox 360 – the next generation video game and entertainment system from Microsoft Corp. - finally arrives in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan on March 16 with eager fans waiting at its heels. In what promises to be a watershed event and a local pop culture phenomenon, the Xbox 360 will launch across Asia with a string of high-profile events that are being organized to meet the extraordinary consumer excitement over the market release of the seminal next generation video game console that is out to shape the future of not only video games but of digital entertainment. “The moment that everyone has been waiting for is here. These include “Project Gotham Racing ® 3” (Microsoft Game Studios ™), “Ridge Racer ™ 6” (Namco), “Quake 4™” (Activision), and “Dead or Alive® 4” (Tecmo), “ Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter™” (Ubisoft) and EA SPORTS™ Fight Night Round 3 (Electronic Arts). “Gamers here will be spoilt for choice as we bring the widest range of games yet seen in any console launch.
