Choose Zune if you already have a Zune device, or download music from Zune Marketplace. You can share all of your music in your collection, including Zune Marketplace content.

Choose Windows Media Player if you want to play content from other online stores.

You can install both Zune and Windows Media Player 11 on your PC, but your console can only connect to one at a time.

Step 1: Download the Zune software.

Step2: Launch Zune

• On your Windows Vista-based PC, launch Zune.

Step 3: Turn on media sharing.

• Click Settings, Software, Sharing.
• Select Enable media sharing with Xbox 360.
• If desired, provide a name for your collection. This name appears in the media source list on your console.
• Select the media types you want to stream to your Xbox 360 console.
• Choose whether you want to share with all of the Xbox 360 consoles on your network, or just specific ones.
• If you chose to share only with specific consoles, select the consoles you want to share to.
• Click OK.

Step 4: Configure your Xbox 360 console.

• In the My Xbox channel, select Video, Music, or Picture Library.
• Select your PC. The PCs on your network are listed by name.
• Select an item to play it.

Step 1: Launch Windows Media Player

• On your Windows Vista-based PC, launch Windows Media Player.

Step 2: Turn on media sharing.

• Click the arrow below the Library tab, and then click Media Sharing.
• In the Media Sharing dialog box, select the Share my media to check box.
• In the list of devices below the Share my media to check box, select your Xbox 360.
• Click Allow.
• Click OK.

Step 3: Configure your Xbox 360

• In the My Xbox channel, select Video, Music, or Picture Library.
• Select your PC. The PCs on your network are listed by name.
• Select an item to play it.
