Sweepstakes Details
Gold members can register enter one of the weekly drawings online by downloading the registration gamer picture and activating their Netflix account on their Xbox 360 console.
The sweepstakes consists of consecutive, separate weekly prize periods. Each weekly prize period will begin at 12:01 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) on Sunday, and end at 11:59 P.M. PT on the following Saturday. For example, the first Weekly Prize Period begins on Sunday, January 25, 2009, and end on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
We will only accept one entry per person during the entire promotion period, regardless of entry method.
How to Register
To register, you must download the free Activate Netflix & Win Registration Gamer Picture. You can queue up the Gamer Picture for download here at Xbox.com, or you can download it from Games Marketplace on Xbox LIVE.
To download the Gamer Picture on Marketplace on the Web:
- Go to Xbox LIVE Event Registrations
- Select Activate Netflix & Win Registration and select Download to Xbox 360
- Select Confirm on the Confirm Purchase window.
- You will see a Congratulations! This item has been purchased and added to your download queue message.
Before registering for the sweepstakes, make sure your Xbox LIVE account information is accurate! Potential winners will be notified by the sweepstakes administrator and have their prizes shipped using the contact info (e-mail, phone, and address) on their Xbox LIVE profile. If your contact info is not up to date you will be disqualified from winning a prize.

Activate Netflix Streaming
Provided you have registered as described above, you will automatically earn a sweepstakes entry (limit one per person) when you log in to the Xbox LIVE service, log in to the Netflix application, and activate Netflix streaming.
- Set Up a Netflix Free Trial Account: If you are already a Netflix unlimited member, please proceed to Step 2. Click here and follow the instructions to create a Netflix account for the two week free trial offer. Netflix free trial offer is subject to the Netflix Terms of Use.
- Activate Netflix on your Xbox 360: Sign into your Xbox LIVE Gold account, navigate to the Video Marketplace channel, and select the Netflix slot. Select Confirm Download to download the free Netflix application. Select Play Now after the download. Select Yes, I want to activate instant watch. Write down the activation code.
- Link your Netflix and Xbox LIVE Gold Accounts: Return to your computer, go to www.netflix.com/activate[http://www.netflix.com/activate], sign in to your Netflix account, enter the activation code and select Activate. Once you see the Activation is complete message, click on the Watch Instantly tab on the Netflix website to add movies & TV episodes to your Netflix Instant Queue.
- Enjoy Watching Instantly from Netflix: On your Xbox 360, you will see your Netflix Queue update. Now sit back, relax, and instantly watch movies & TV episodes on your TV!
