Rock Band 2 December Song Track Releases

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the release schedule of individual song tracks and song packs for the game Rock Band 2 (and also for Rock Band) for the month of December 2008. Songs can be acquired by redeeming Microsoft Points per track and entire packs of songs are available at a discount, unless noted otherwise.

Tracks released for Rock Band 2 are backward-compatible with Rock Band tracks, and tracks released for the earlier game are compatible with Rock Band 2. Tracks marked with an asterisk (*) are cover songs as made famous by the listed artist. Tracks without an asterisk are original master recordings.

Week of December 30, 2008

  • Individual tracks released are 160 MS Points each.
    • "Space Truckin'" by Deep Purple
    • "Funk #49" by James Gang
    • "Hymn 43" by Jethro Tull
    • "Take Back the City" by Snow Patrol

Week of December 23, 2008

  • Individual tracks released include the tracks in the Rockin' the Holidays pack which are 80 MS Points each, or 240 MS Points for the three-track pack; individual tracks from the Foo Fighters are 160 MS Points, or 440 MS Points for the three-track pack.
