Song Packs and Individual Tracks for Rock Band

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the release schedule through the end of 2007 for individual song tracks and song packs for the game Rock Band™. Beginning November 20, fans will be able to purchase three-song packs from Metallica, The Police, and Queens of the Stone Age for 160 Microsoft Points per track and 440 Points per pack. Individual tracks from Foreigner, Wolfmother, and The Runaways, among others, are available for 160 Microsoft Points.

New song packs are available through the end of 2007.

And that's just through the end of 2007. Fans can expect more music every week through 2008 with tracks ranging in price from 80 to 240 Microsoft Points, with most tracks being offered for 160 Points.

Here's the full release schedule for November and December of 2007. All three-song packs are available for 440 Microsoft Points, with each track also available individually. All individual tracks are 160 Microsoft Points each. All tracks marked with an asterisk (*) are cover songs as made famous by the listed artist. Tracks without an asterisk are original master recordings.

Week of November 20, 2007

• Metallica Pack includes "Ride the Lightning," "Blackened," and "And Justice for All."
• The Police Pack includes "Can't Stand Losing You," "Synchronicity II," and "Roxanne."
• Queens of the Stone Age Pack includes "3's and 7's," "Little Sister," and "Sick Sick Sick."
• Individual tracks released include:
  • "Fortunate Son" as made famous by Creedence Clearwater Revival *
  • Juke Box Hero" as made famous by Foreigner *
  • "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" as made famous by T-Rex *
  • "My Sharona" as made famous by The Knack *
  • "Cherry Bomb" as made famous by The Runaways *
  • "Joker & The Thief" by Wolfmother. 

Week of November 27, 2007

• David Bowie Pack includes "Moonage Daydream," "Heroes" as made famous by David Bowie *, and "Queen Bitch" as made famous by David Bowie *.

Week of December 4, 2007

• Black Sabbath Pack includes songs all made famous by Black Sabbath such as "N.I.B." *, "Sweet Leaf" *, and "War Pigs" *.

Week of December 11, 2007

• Punk Pack includes "Rockaway Beach" by The Ramones, "I Fought the Law" by The Clash, and "Ever Fallen In Love" as made famous by The Buzzcocks *.

Week of December 18, 2007

• Individual tracks released include:
  • "My Iron Lung" by Radiohead
  • "Buddy Holly" by Weezer
  • "Brass in Pocket" as made famous by The Pretenders *.

Week of December 25, 2007

• Individual tracks released include:
  • "Attack" by 30 Seconds to Mars
  • "The Kill" by 30 Seconds to Mars
  • "Dirty Little Secret" by All-American Rejects
  • "Move Along" by All-American Rejects
  • "Song with a Mission" by Sounds
