Rock Band June Song Track Releases

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced the release schedule of individual song tracks and song packs for the game Rock Band™ for the month of June 2008. Fans will be able to purchase songs for 160 Microsoft Points per track and entire packs of songs are available at a discount, unless noted otherwise.

Let's all hear it for the June tracks.

Tracks marked with an asterisk (*) are cover songs as made famous by the listed artist. Tracks without an asterisk are original master recordings.

Week of June 24, 2008

• Individual tracks released (each track is 160 MS Points; the three-track Weezer pack is 440 points; the entire Pixies' Doolittle album pack is 1520 MS Points and consists of all the songs from the album Doolittle, except for the track "Wave of Mutilation" which came on the original Rock Band disc):

Week of June 3, 2008

• Individual tracks released (each track is 160 MS Points; three-song pack is available for 440 MS Points):
  • "Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (ORIGINAL master recording)
  • "Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (ORIGINAL master recording)
  • "Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (ORIGINAL master recording – these are all recordings done by Jimmy Buffett specifically for the Rock Band game; turns out he's a fan!)

Also released this week is a three-song pack from the band Disturbed. Best Buy, in partnership with MTV Games and Harmonix, is allowing Disturbed fans to download two tracks FREE by pre-ordering the new Disturbed album, INDESTRUCTIBLE, from Best Buy. Pre-order the CD, and you'll receive instructions on downloading two tracks free, "Indestructible," and "Inside the Fire." These tracks and a third track from the album are also available at a discounted price without pre-ordering the CD.
