Some devices have not been fully tested or require extra steps to work with Xbox Live®. We don't list those devices because if it doesn't pass all of our tests or meet our criteria for a smooth setup and connection, we can't guarantee that you’ll have the awesome online gaming experience you expect.

In short, we list the devices that we know work, and we list the devices that we know don’t work. No more middle ground for routers, because we don’t want you to have a mediocre gaming experience.

The Xbox team is continuing to work hard to make sure you know exactly how to connect to Xbox Live. We’ve got tons of information on this site about ways to connect to Xbox Live, both wired and wirelessly. And we're always testing new networking routers and adapters to give you as many quality choices as possible. The bottom line is this: We want you to know what equipment you can count on to rock with Xbox Live. 

So look for the Xbox Live Compatible logo. Xbox Live Compatible equipment has been thoroughly tested to ensure that it works with every feature and function of the Xbox Live service.
