La Quinta Estación releases another winning album in Sin Frenos.
The Spanish band La Quinta Estación, now based in Mexico, consists of vocalist Natalia Jimenez and guitarist Ángel Reyero. Their debut, Primera Toma, was recorded in Madrid but released in Mexico, and that country's fans took the singing duo to heart. With a Billboard Music Award for Best Latin Pop Airplay, New Generation, for their hit single "Algo Mas," the duo released a highly acclaimed acoustic album entitled logically enough Acústico, that showcased their pure musical talent. It also gave fans a chance to see the band in concert as the effort was a hybrid CD/DVD containing music videos and a live performance.

In 2006, they released the stunning El Mundo se Equivoca, which won them a Latin Grammy for Best Pop Album by a Group or Duo, and this sparked a tour of their homeland, where they played in front of thousands of fans in over 30 sold-out shows, with the album sitting at the top of the Spanish charts for more than a year. And now that they have conquered Spain and their adopted Mexico, they have come forth again with an album due to release in March, Sin Frenos. Look for it wherever music is sold.
