Xbox Live Free Trial on Xbox

It's never been easier to try Xbox Live®! Your Xbox Live Two-Month Free Trial Card contains everything you need to play on Xbox Live free for two whole months. Look for the card in specially marked Xbox Live titles. This offer is good only for new members.

Trial offers are good through June 30, 2006. Multiple trial cards cannot be used to extend a trial beyond two months.

Here's how to get started:

Step 1: Get access to high-speed Internet service. You must have high-speed Internet service, like cable or DSL. Check out our Xbox Live-compatible high-speed providers. With each provider, you get setup and troubleshooting tips, service availability and contact info, and home networking solutions supported by Xbox Live.

Step 2: Find your free trial subscription code. Your free trial subscription code is located at the bottom of the Two-Month Free Trial Card included in specially marked Xbox Live-enabled games, including Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes™, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat™, and Star Wars Battlefront™ II.

Step 3: Connect to Xbox Live and create your account. First, choose the method of connecting to Xbox Live that works best for you. Then, log on to Xbox Live and create your trial account, which sets you up for two free months of incredible gaming on Xbox Live! If you have trouble connecting, find out more here.

Voice Communication
Your two-month free trial subscription includes full voice support on Xbox Live. But, if you don't have an Xbox Communicator, you won't be able to experience the excitement of chatting, strategizing, and trash-talking with other gamers while you play. Don't fret. You can purchase a separate Xbox Communicator or an Xbox Live Starter Kit, which includes an Xbox Communicator, to get the most from your trial subscription.

What Happens After the Trial Period?
So your free two months on Xbox Live are almost up, huh? Well, don't fret; you can keep your game going. It's super easy! Here are a few simple ways to handle it …

Do nothing. It's just that easy. Your account automatically renews for 12 months. Your credit card will be charged $49.99 U.S./$59.99 CAN.

Commitment-phobe? Switch to a monthly subscription. Just go into the Xbox Live Dashboard (turn on your Xbox® video game console with no game disc in the drive) and select Account Management, and then Subscription. Select Modify. Enter the last four digits of the credit card you used when you set up your trial account, and then select the monthly option for billing. Your credit card will be charged $5.99 U.S./$8.99 CAN each month.

Scored a subscription card? Go into the Xbox Live Dashboard. Select Account Management and then Subscription. Select Modify. Select Subscription Code and enter the code from your three-month or 12-month subscription card. Sorry, you can't enter another two-month trial code.
