Little Voodoo Man Delivers Loads of Laughs

Every platform has some kind of character: some guy with spiky hair or a red hat or some kind of animal. I thought that the business was running out of ideas when it used a Tasmanian devil as a character, but then Voodoo Vince came along.

The game is a platform based in a world where some evil nerdy guy named Cosmo gets control of zombie dust—a substance that brings things to life—and creates mayhem throughout the city. He makes bottomless pits in the middle of cities, distorts buildings and roads, and accidentally brings Vince to life, a lone voodoo doll to stand against his evil minions, which are, for some reason, as small as Vince.

Your story starts when Cosmo takes your voodoo creator, Sharmaine. Although Vince is invincible to any normal attack, if it were up to me, I wouldn’t save the lady who sticks pins and needles into me. But with that aside, Voodoo Vince is a great game. The real fun is using your voodoo power: having a bear trap slice you in half, drinking a fluid that gives you diarrhea, or just stabbing yourself with needles and watching the same attack happen to a bunch of nearby enemies.

With more than 30 levels, this game will give you about five hours of gameplay. It’s filled with loads of laugh-out-loud cut scenes and voodoo power. I would recommend Voodoo Vince. I give this little voodoo man a 3.8 out of 5.
