When the forces of terror invade Sin City, there's only one group in the world that can stop them, and that's the international forces of Rainbow Six. Don't go into battle unprepared, take these tips from the Prima Games guide to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Vegas.

General Tips
To quickly descend a ladder, press the interact button to slide down the rails.

Never walk past the door of a room that has not been cleared. Always assume a room is occupied by hostiles until proven otherwise. Before entering a hall, take cover and use the third-person view to scan for threats.

Increase the brightness of the game in the Option menu, under the Video tab. This will keep you from having to completely rely on your night vision, especially in if you play on a TV in a room with natural lighting.

Go Team
Your team will not hunt down terrorists just because you tagged them, they only attack targets within their line of sight. However, when your teammate does engage a tagged terrorist, there's a damage multiplayer that ensures even the most insignificant hit is lethal. Tag terrorists constantly during firefights to take advantage of this edge.

Your teammates have unlimited ammo and endless supplies in the single-player campaign. They can only use tactical aids such as breaching charges and frag grenades during entries. Rely on your team's gear when clearing rooms, but rely on your own in firefights.

Your teammates and terrorists won't completely stop shooting if they're suppressed. They will fire blindly and inaccurately, but they are still firing live rounds.

Weaponry
When low on ammo, always feel free to pick up and use a terrorist's weapon. Use shotguns to breach wooden doors by aiming for the doorknob or handle to blast open the door.

Weapon silencers reduce the noise of a gun, but also the damage and accuracy, so go for headshots to ensure a kill. Hold down the reload button and select the silencer icon from the weapon options menu. Fire modes and laser sights can also be selected from this menu.
