Everyone knows the name "Tiger Woods." Since 1996, when he went professional, this golfer has broken record after record, making an indelible mark on the history of golfing. At the age of 30, he has won more than 50 major tournaments and has taken the lead spot for most well-paid sports figure at $87,000,000 (estimated) in 2005. This year, Tiger steps into the big leagues when Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 07 hits the green on Xbox 360™.

The Tiger Woods PGA TOUR series has its roots in the original PGA TOUR® Golf series that debuted in 1990, published by Electronic Arts. EA has continued the series with a release every year. In 1998, the game took Tiger's name.
Thus, the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR (TWPGA) series has a 16-year history behind it, a factor that contributes to its well-thought-out gameplay and dedicated fan following. This year, Electronic Arts is releasing Tiger Woods 07 with further improved controls and added features that will inspire enthusiastic golf claps from the gamer crowd.
In Tiger's Footsteps
Tiger Woods 07 takes you into the world of Tiger Woods and simulates the challenge and experience of being a professional golfer. In Career Mode, step into Tiger's shoes and work your way up from the bottom, hopefully to the top. Play tournament after tournament in an attempt to rival Tiger's glory.
The mini-games cover all types of shots,
including putting, chipping and approach shots.
Use them to practice your swing.
Next-generation graphic capabilities and fat memory make this version of Tiger Woods the best yet. Special methods for capturing facial features bring the golfers to life and make the experience all the more realistic. Customize your character's face and body to either replicate yourself or to create an icon of loveliness that you'll never tire of watching.
In addition, Electronic arts has added more courses and tournaments for your playing pleasure. The addition of the FedEx Cup will enhance tournament fun and put a new spin on the old tournament run.
Traditional Tee-Off
The game's Traditional Modes give you many options for varying up your gameplay. Some of these games pit you, as an individual, against other players. Both Stroke and Match Play remain central, while others add a bit of spice. Choose from Skins or the Stableford scoring system. When you choose to play Stableford, you play for points as assigned based on how well you do on a hole.

Mike Weir gives you a run for your money.
Other modes put you into team play, where you have partners. Many of these require that you alternate shots with your partners until one of you manages to get it in the hole. These modes include Alternate Shot, Best Ball, Four-Ball, Greensome, and Bloodsome.
Each has its own rules and elements that differentiate it from the others, thus giving you the chance to adjust your strategy based on which game you choose to play. You can play many of these games on Xbox Live® as well.
Mini-Games, Not Mini-Golf
The mini-games provided on Tiger Woods 07 have long-lasting entertainment value. Play them either solo against the A.I. or multiplayer versus your friends. Among the games are the old standards 21, 7 (a chipping game), and Capture the Flag, in which you compete to claim a target and maintain control of it.

A fan-favorite is T-I-G-E-R. We all played H-O-R-S-E on the basketball courts of our youth, and now we can play the Tiger Woods version on the course. Your opponent has to match or beat your shot, or gain a letter. The first person to collect all five letters loses. The mini-games cover all types of shots, including putting, chipping and approach shots. Use them to practice your swing.
Battle Golf
Tiger Woods 07 also has a set of Arcade Modes. Although they may seem somewhat outrageous to die-hard traditionalists, they make an excellent diversion when you need a break from the whispered seriousness of a regular tournament. In Battle Golf Mode, for example, take on another player in a match play game. Win a hole and take a club from your opponent. Now that hurts.
The multiplayer and Xbox Live matches promise the greatest competition. Get in plenty of practice in advance, however. In order to accommodate that, TWPGA has incorporated a practice mode: the Bandon Dunes practice course. Practice driving, pitching, and putting. Hone your skills prior to challenging an opponent eitheron Xbox Live, local, or A.I.
With this newest release of the game, along with all its new additions and improvements, there's no question that the 2007 season is the best ever. Xbox 360 and Xbox Live send the ball straight to the dance floor. As Tiger said when he first entered professional golf, "Hello, world."
