General Tips
The jails in The Shivering Isles are actually dungeons. Before starting out on a crime spree, go to the dungeon and drop a decent weapon and some armor there. When you get sent to jail, your supplies will be waiting for you.

As an archer, the Summon Skeleton spell will allow you to shoot arrows at it to raise your skill. The arrows bounce off it, and you can collect them to use again. Free skill points!

Stock up on restore fatigue potions to handle the Hungers in The Shivering Isles.

Keep an eye out for unusual variations of ingredients in The Shivering Isles. There's a person in town who will buy them.
