Welcome to Hawaii
At A Glance
- Luxury, hot cars, and cherry-red temptation pull you into life in the fast lane on Oahu.
When Test Drive® Unlimited begins, you're standing in line at the airport, waiting to hand your boarding pass to a remarkably attractive flight attendant. Board this flight and leave the mainland behind, heading for Paradise.
Hawaii awaits you, and what better place for your home, your garage and—most importantly—your car collection? This game is nothing but cars, mansions, big screen TVs, supermodels, and police chases. This is the high life, and here on Oahu, it's all yours.

Cruise through your neighborhood.
When you arrive, your first car is just a rental, but you still have some sweeties to choose from, including an Audi and a Mercedes. Cherry red convertible or midnight blue sedan? Take your pick and you're on your way. You won't stay in this car for long, though. Why would you when you have so much money burning a hole in your pocket?
Points of Interest
The single player mode in Test Drive Unlimited puts you in the role of a wealthy street racer who just moved to Hawaii. Choose your character from the line at the airport and you're on your way. When you arrive in Hawaii, you begin to set up house. Choose a house and a car, and begin your new life on the island.
Driving like a normal citizen can provide
its own special challenge.
Cruise around the island as if its your own personal playground. Visit the real estate agent and the car dealerships. Drive at random, or follow the handy GPS guide. Choose whether or not you want to obey the traffic laws. Stop lights, slow drivers, no passing lanes, and speed traps work just as they do in real life, and it's up to you whether you want to keep your nose clean. Driving like a normal citizen can provide its own special challenge.

City driving calls for perfect timing.
Home Base
Browse through the listings at the real estate agent and choose a home. You can upgrade after you earn some more money racing. Take virtual tours of any house that looks appealing. Each house has its own style, so choose based on personal style, not just function.
Your cars are stored in the garage at your house, so the number of cars you can own is limited by the size of your digs. Your house will also be your base of operations for your down-time activities, including buying and selling vehicles, accessing your ranks and achievements, and even changing your clothes.

Off to the Races
When you're ready, head off in your steamy sportscar to start racing. Thanks to your connections, you already have the hook-up with the local racing community, so just plug a location into your GPS. There's any number of different challenges you can take on.
Naturally, you can just race. First one over the finish line wins. You can also race against the clock, if that's more your style. Challenge yourself to break top speed records by buzzing police radar stations. Challenge others, or accept challenges in one-on-one Instant races. The challenger chooses the finish line, but you can choose your own route to victory. In any event, always be on the lookout for cross traffic and the cops.

The Race, Speed, Instant, and Custom challenges are all available online. Race for the finish line, clock your top speed, challenge another racer to an Instant race, or design your own Custom challenge.
