Jedi Cram Session

Star Wars®: The Clone Wars™ is a fast-paced, vehicle-driven adventure that lets players mix it up as Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Anakin Skywalker. In the LucasArts game, you'll battle the forces of the evil Count Dooku on foot and from the cockpit of some of the toughest and fastest war machines Episode II has to offer.

Once you've mastered the single-player campaign, Star Wars: The Clone Wars has a slew of multiplayer modes to keep you interested, including an updated and redesigned Conquest mode, as well as complete Xbox Live multiplayer support and content downloads. The single-player game is the place to start, however, and it takes some serious midichlorians to take on the bosses ofStar Wars: The Clone Wars, so here's a few hints on how to beat Dooku's heaviest hitters.

Stick and move, young Jedi.

Dark Acolytes
There are three of these powerful battle tanks to deal with, but they're not as quick on the draw or as accurate as you are, if you're shooting from cover. Keep moving, weave in and out of the rocks, and focus your attacks on one ship until it explodes. Remember to claim the power-ups scattered around the arena's perimeter as often as you can, and repeat the process until the remaining two Acolytes are dust.

Protodeka
This monstrous craft has enough weaponry to wipe out the entire battlefield, so you're going to have to be fast and smart, if you want to survive. Try to leave as many blue missile crates as possible unclaimed as you progress through the level because you're going to need them against this juggernaut.

Keep the pressure on with your missiles and special weapon, strafing to avoid most of its return volleys. Boost far away when your foe stops firing its laser because that means it's about to release a blue cloud of caustic gas. Stay behind or under the giant crane for as long as you can—it's great cover, but the Protodeka won't let it stay intact forever. This battle's not very fancy, just a flat-out slugfest against a much more powerful foe. Stay mobile and tough it out, and pay attention: you'll be facing this boss again in a later mission.

Harbinger
Another Separatist behemoth, the Harbinger is also your clear superior in terms of firepower. To defeat it, blast away all the cannons on one side first, so you can fight from that side without taking return fire. Use your boost and the health power-up to stay alive until the central hatch opens, revealing the central cannon. This is the boss's strongest weapon and most vulnerable spot. From a distance, keep firing your missiles into the cannon every time the hatch opens, as you dodge the big ship's lasers and turret fire. Eventually, the main cannon will explode and takes the entire ship down with it.

Trouble on Geonosis.

Spectral Guardians
The ghostly sentries of an ancient Jedi tomb cannot be targeted by your ship's weapons, much less harmed by them. They can be destroyed indirectly, however. Keep your finger off the trigger until you're well inside the circular temple, and definitely do not fire on the transparent tombs (it will only release them faster). Continue on until you find the Guardians' coffins, and then, start blasting. Destroying the coffins is the only way you can take out the Spectral Guardians themselves, and then you get to watch the tasty little cut scene between Anakin and the spirit of Ulic Qel-Droma.

Dreadnought
After this mammoth war craft kills your vessel and forces you to hoof it across the surface of Thule Moon, you get a second crack at it near the very end of the campaign. To stay alive, always boost out of harm's way when the weapons bay closes because that means the Dreadnought's powerful seismic wave is powering up, and you don't want to be there when it goes off. Press in close and strafe in between seismic waves, and always save blue missile crates, until you're almost empty, in order to maximize your ammo. Keep boosting in and out, stay ahead of his deadly weapons fire, keep your squad mates focused on the fight, and your enemy will fall.

A nice, big target.

Dark Reaper
The final boss of the game is so tough it comes with its own coach. Ulic Qel-Droma's spirit offers key advice during the battle, and you'd be wise to take it, since he's the only one who knows how to beat this titan. As in the other boss battles, you're woefully outgunned, so you have to stay mobile and mix full-on attacks with tactical withdrawals, making sure to keep piling on the health and ammo power-ups. Stay away from its devastating beam attacks, and shoot those energy orbs before they explode against your hull, pouring all the missiles you can into the exposed energy core. You'll have to whittle this giant down piece by piece, but if you listen to your coach and the Force is with you, even the ultimate Separatist weapon cannot stand against you.
