Kudos to You!

Project Gotham Racing® 3 was one of the most keenly anticipated Xbox 360™ launch titles. The spectacular racing sequel takes you onto painstakingly recreated city streets and lets you drive the coolest cars in the world in ways that would get you arrested in real life. As you progress through PGR™ 3's Career Mode, you earn three types of rewards for your efforts: credits, medals, and sweet kudos. Each one has a different function that makes every racer a unique competitor in a new kind of worldwide sport. No matter what kind of driver you are—steely-eyed veteran, permit-holding newbie, or anything in between—you have a set of goals that fits your skill level. Money and Medals
Ferrari or Lamborghini? Tough choice. Because Career Mode operates both online and offline, you rack up credits whenever you race, even if you're running the same track for a second or third time. The higher you set the difficulty for offline races, the more you earn, and the more sweet rides fill your garage. However, credits aren't everything. To prove that you deserve to take part in championships and competitions, you must win the medals that unlock those parts of the game. In addition to medals that range from Steel on up to Platinum, you can earn special trophies that serve as badges of honor for reaching milestones in the game.
Now you're stylin'. Since your accomplishments and medals are tied to your gamer profile, you can display them for all the world to see. PGR 3's numerous scoreboards also track everything from total Kudos to your combined time attack minutes. New Kudos On the next Xbox Live®, your overall skill ranking is computed as part of your gamer profile, a sort of super-expanded gamertag. With Kudos, PGR 3 determines your skill level with uncanny accuracy.
The race is on! Under the old-style Kudos system, racers could whip through a course and pull off dozens of high-kudos moves before crossing the finish line. With the new system, your Kudos score is calculated only after the race is finished. This simple mathematical solution ensures that your Kudos score can't be artificially inflated. Finish time is always a factor, as it should be. Project Gotham Racing 3 has arrived, just in time to redefine the racing genre. |
