PGR 2 Paris Booster: The Cars
Some of the things Americans love most came to this country from France, like chocolate éclairs, the Statue of Liberty, andpommes frites (that’s French fries to you and me). For fans of Project Gotham Racing® 2 (PGR™ 2), the next great French-American connection is the Paris Booster Pack—the first content download via Xbox Live®!
The Paris Booster Pack contains eight new cars and seven new tracks. The new Paris tracks give PGR 2 a real estate boost, but the new cars give the game new sizzle. The cars included in the first PGR 2 download suit every driving preference.

Nothing looks better than a BMW on the streets of Paris.
Here’s the complete list of new vehicles:
- TVR Cerbera Speed 12 (in British Racing Green)
- BMW M3 CSL
- BMW 645Ci
- Chevrolet Corvette C6
- Ferrari 250 TR
- Ferrari 288 GTO
- Ferrari 365 GTS 4
- Porsche 356 A Carrera Speedster
You won’t be able to use these new cars when you’re playing the Kudos World Series, Instant Action, or Arcade modes, but you will be able to use them in the Time Attack and Multiplayer game modes (Xbox Live, System Link, and Split Screen).
Thrilling Run in a ‘Vette C6
I’ve fallen hard for one of the new Time Attack and Car Challenge offerings, featuring the Chevrolet Corvette C6 and my favorite Washington, D.C., racing course, Capitol Thrill. For me, Capitol Thrill is one of the most challenging and fun-to-drive courses that the game has to offer. It’s fast and requires precise cornering and braking. And, running it in the Chevy Corvette C6 makes it all the more invigorating. I think the course shows off the C6’s power and surprisingly well-balanced handling.

The new Corvette will surprise you with its handling.
I completed my first lap in the C6 with a “loud” lap of 1 minute, 36.356 seconds. I call it a loud lap because of all the percussion—I bounced the car clumsily off several barriers during the lap. I even sent the license plate flying onto the guardrail directly in front of the Capitol Building. As I grew more accustomed to how the C6 handled, I was able to keep it off the walls and apply the car’s considerable power more delicately. My lap times tumbled.
I was especially impressed with how the car responded to the course’s big jump near the finish. If I had the car going in a straight line before the jump, I was able to assume control as soon as it landed. But, if I delivered steering or throttle inputs as the car was going airborne, it behaved like a bucking bull when it landed, bounding wildly one way or another on contact with the concrete. After 10 laps or so, I was consistently running times in the 1:31 range and having a honking good time. Now, I’m looking forward to racing the C6 against real opponents on Xbox Live.

Sweet cars plus eye-popping visuals—a must-have!
Other New Time Attack Car Challenges
I know many of you are going to want the Paris Booster Pack just so you can take on the world via Xbox Live with the Cerbera Speed 12. And, all of the Speed 12’s goodness will be yours for less than five bucks.
But, the download contains many other interesting pairings of tracks and cars in the Time Attack mode that should not be overlooked. So, keep an eye peeled for the Paris Booster Pack. C’est magnifique!
