Gamebreakers
Don't be afraid to take risks. Even if you fall behind, catching up is only a Gamebreaker away. If you do fall behind, or if you want to take a strong lead, dish the rock to your baller with the sickest Handles and fill up your Gamebreaker meter. Once it's full, trigger it and max out the trick meter for an additional three points to your Gamebreaker basket. Don't forget that by activating the Gamebreaker the other team automatically loses a point. So one Gamebreaker can quickly become a 5 point differential!

Take it to the streets, baby.

Just because the other team triggered a Gamebreaker, it doesn't mean they're unstoppable. You can still steal the ball and their Gamebreaker momentum. Play aggressive defense and get in the ball handler's way every chance you get. Try not to let them shoot, but keep your best shot blocker near the boards in case they do.

Skills
Master Skills guarantee you're always successful. By making Shooting a Master Skill, you'll always make it from beyond the three point line. Just be sure you got a clean look, 'cause you can still get blocked.

Handles, Dunks, and Shooting are great skills to have, for sure, but by far the most useful skill in the game is Steals. If you have maxed out Steals, you're guaranteed to always have a fighting chance. Offensive skills don't do you any good when you don't have the ball, son.

Playing solid D means knowing when and where to attack. Don't waste your time playing one-on-one D if your ballers can't handle their man. Before every game, get to know the strengths of every member of the other team. Then match up your best defenders according to skill. Posting your best shot blocker on Shaq will do you no good: Shaq's Shooting isn't his strongest skill, ya dig?

Practice makes perfect, kid! Don't think that the Practice Mode is for suckas. 'Melo, A.I., and even King James perfect their skill on the practice court, so why shouldn't you? Practice Mode is the best way to get your timing down on shots, double-dunks, and even get a few dozen trick combos under your belt.

Tricks
Always, always, always use point multipliers while doing tricks. Juke out defenders, punk out would-be blockers, and double dunk whenever you can. By using multipliers you fill up the Gamebreaker faster and rack up mad points in no time.

Don't be predictable when doing tricks. As soon as your opponent knows what's coming next, he'll know exactly how to steal the ball. You might as well hand him the rock if you're going to pull off the same old tired tricks over and over again. Use your dribble trick remix button to set up the dribbles and your acrobatic remix button to add flare to your moves.

Homecourt Challenge
The key to being a dominant team in Homecourt Challenge mode is to have the right mix of offensive and defensive players on your team. Always look into the recruiting pool to find the NBA and the WNBA's top ballers.

Don't be afraid to play extra games in Homecourt Challenge mode once the next court has been unlocked. Playing extra games not only adds to your Rating Points (RP), but it also unlocks fresh gear that will also boost your RP gains per game.
