America's pastime returns for an exciting new season with Opening Day right around the corner. To help get you ready for another season of Major League Baseball, Xbox LIVE and 2K Sports have teamed up for a big Play & Win Sweepstakes with some great prizes up for grabs.
Get ready for Opening Day with the LIVE Weekend.
You could win some great MLB merchandise, autographed baseballs, tickets to a Major League game, or other prizes just by registering and playing an online multiplayer game of Major League Baseball 2K9 between April 3 – April 5, 2009.
Before registering for the sweepstakes, make sure your Xbox LIVE account information is accurate! Potential winners will be notified by the sweepstakes administrator and have their prizes shipped using the contact info (e-mail, phone, and address) on their Xbox LIVE profile. If your contact info is not up to date you will be disqualified from winning a prize.

How to Register
To register, you must download the free MLB 2K9 Registration Gamer Picture. You can queue up the Gamer Picture for download here at Xbox.com, or you can download it from Games Marketplace on Xbox LIVE.
To download the free Gamer Picture from Marketplace on the Web:
- Go to Xbox LIVE Event Registrations
- Select MLB 2K9 Registration and select Download to Xbox 360
- Select Confirm on the next window.
- You will see a Congratulations! This item has been purchased and added to your download queue message.
You can also access the free MLB 2K9 Registration Gamer Picture in the Xbox LIVE Events Registration section of Marketplace on your console.
Sweepstakes Entries
Registered players will receive a sweepstakes entry when they play a multiplayer session of MLB 2K9 over Xbox LIVE® between 12:01 A.M. Eastern Time (ET) on April 3 and 11:59 P.M. ET on April 5, 2009. Limit one entry per person.
Prize Information
After the close of the Entry Period, we will randomly select the following winners from among all eligible entries (actual prizes may be slightly different than images shown):
Three Grand Prize Packages:
- A baseball autographed by a Major League Baseball player
- Two tickets to a regular season Major League Baseball game of winner's choice, subject to availability.**
