Like many racing games, Midtown Madness 3 comes complete with its own career mode called "Work Undercover." But, like everything else in Midtown Madness 3, its career mode is split into two different halves: one in Washington D.C. and the other in Paris. Each contains its own story and the unique wacky flavor that Midtown Madness brings to its world. Your existence in either city is strictly hush hush, so it'll be important not reveal yourself, lest your cover be blown. We can't say too much about the overriding plotline; after all, that would ruin the surprise. However, here are some brief breakdowns of two exciting jobs for each of the cities.
Washington D.C.
Michael's Scouting This job has you showing Mr. Michael Tortellini, the famous Italian film producer, one of the sleekest automobiles to grace the roads: the Dodge Viper SRT-10. Mr. Tortellini is thinking about purchasing the Viper, but he'll need you to put it through its paces before he comes to a decision. Watch out, though… Your nemesis, Angelina, has heard tell of your posh job, and she wants a showdown to prove she's the best. As Mr. Tortellini has you deftly weaving in and out of traffic at breakneck speeds, you'll have to contend with Angelina.
Diva Manners On this job, you'll chauffeur a demanding movie star around D.C. The police soon take note of your wild driving and give chase. You'll find yourself rocketing down the streets of D.C. in an effort to avoid the pursuing cops and to make it back to the dealership safely.
Paris
Scandinavian Show Here, you'll find yourself tailing the shadowy character Olle, as you hope he'll lead you to the whereabouts of the missing and presumed kidnapped racing star, Dieter Kleinmann. Luckily, you've been able to tap into Olle's phone calls to track him down, but you'll have to make sure he doesn't spot you tailing him—or the jig is up.
Desperate Hours Someone has stuffed Dieter Kleinmann (the racing star) in the trunk of their car, and they're making a break for it. Give chase along the narrow cobblestone streets of Paris, and make sure they don't get away.
