Fin de Limitation de Vitesse
Midtown Madness 3 has already given Xbox Live racing fans a bounty of new cars and tracks in a recent onslaught of fast and furious downloadable updates. Now the developers at Digital Illusions CE are taking us for a drive across the big pond for a slew of new courses set in the City of Light. Paris is the setting for the latest pack of 20 races (10 Blitz style and 10 new Checkpoint courses) that will make you an international menace on the streets.
Mon dieu! Don't hit the Krispy Kreme!
Faire le Plein You won’t need a French phrasebook (like the one I used to come up with these subtitles) to take on the latest Euro-styled Midtown Madness 3 courses, but you will need all your driving skills to handle the challenging tracks in this download pack. The courses set in Paris focus on tight narrow streets with cruel turns and dense traffic. One of the new tracks lets you skirt the whole city—sort of—by racing around the highway that rings Paris. Other courses bring nasty European weather into the equation, with races in the rain, in the snow, in darkest night, and in various combinations of all three. So not only will you need to successfully navigate the treacherous corners and buggy-width streets on new and unfamiliar routes, you’ll also be doing it in brutal driving conditions.
Log on to Xbox Live and download the new Midtown Madness 3 tracks today, and make sure you’re hooked up with previous updates like the 20 new Washington D.C. tracks and seven slick new cars (including the infamous LastKraftwagen).
Sure, you say, but 40 new tracks? They’ve only given usseven new cars? You people. All right, how about this, speed freaks—check back soon for even more unique rides in the next free download pack of automotive goodness. Like what? How about the sleek Italian-styled Campione? Or the Stocker, an over-muscled machine that’s soon going to officially become the fastest car in Midtown Madness 3? See, the MM3 folks love ya even more than you thought.
Until then, bonne chance on those new Paris tracks, and beware of chute de pierres. Or something like that. For more French traffic phrases, consult your local library.
