Lights Out in the Port City Walkthrough

The Brits have captured German HQ, at the cost of many casualties. Your primary objective—the power plant—isn't far off, but enemy resistance is heavy. You need to fight your way through swarms of Nazi troops to reach the Gerry generator. With any luck, you might stumble across a few surprises and hit the Nazi war machine where it hurts.

The din of war rumbles low in the distance as you awaken in a bombed-out building. They patched you up after you took a stray slug during the last fight, but you'll make it just fine. Scrounge the makeshift emergency room and grab any supplies you find, then exit the building and head left. You immediately come under heavy fire from German MG nests by the lighthouse and scattered troops in front and on your flank. Take out the enemies in the immediate area and use the cover of the MG bunker to waste the Nazis in the field. If the action gets too hot, duck below the barrier and switch to your M1 Garand. While it doesn't spit out a hailstorm of bullets, it's far more accurate (and reliable) than any machine gun in existence. Once the coast is clear, press on and eliminate the German infantry unit up the path outside the lighthouse. Collect the Revive and scour the area for ammunition if you need it.


Fire the MG in short bursts, or it overheats.

Backtrack from the lighthouse and bear left—there's a locked door that's keeping your squad from advancing further into enemy territory. Plant a charge and blast through it, then seek cover next to the opposite doorway and pick off the Nazis in the square with your M1. Watch for the troops on your right side (next to the parked train) as you cross the empty square. Duck behind cover and take out the troops inside the hangar bay. Secure the area, then fire at the rocket parts to destroy three V2 rocket hulls. Grab the Revive, spare ammunition, and health in the area and head upstairs. Pick off the MG across the way, then exit the building through the opposite side you entered.

Enter the warehouse across the way to encounter a small force of German infantry. Use your M1 Garand or Thomson to take them out. Watch out for grenades—this area can get a bit claustrophobic. Exit through the office and advance to the docks. Take it slow and pick off your foes from behind cover with the M1. As you reach the opposite side, you encounter a big group of Gerrys hunkered down with an MG nest. Activate your adrenaline and do your best Rambo impersonation—you'll be temporarily invincible, so run 'n' gun and waste 'em all. Find the ramp that leads down to the docks tolocate and destroy the German U-Boat. Three charges will sink the beast, so set the explosives on each end first before arming the final one in the center. Clear the area first, or you'll be a sitting duck out there in the water.

Return to the building with the MG nest and exit through the office. Heavy resistance awaits outside, so arm yourself with the M1 and pick them off before they tear your squad to shreds. An MG nest outside the building across the courtyard threatens to annihilate your men. Veer left and sidle along the parked trains for cover. When you exit at the far side, you find yourself behind the majority of the Nazi scum firing on your group. Cook and lob a few pineapples or saw them in half with your Tommy gun, then clear the patio of the MG and remaining troops. Reinforcements will spring up from nowhere, so be prepared for a stiff fight. Clear the entrance to the building, then head upstairs and eliminate Horst Brenner. If you have full adrenaline, use it and burst into his office with guns blazing. Otherwise lob a few grenades to wake him up, then finish him off with the Tommy gun. If your health is low, hide outside his window and keep throwing explosives behind his desk. Either way, he drops some sensitive documents—grab them to uncover the V2 rocket equipment blueprint. Time to head downstairs.

Fight your way through the basement until you reach the power generators, mindful of the snipers on the catwalks. Plant three explosives on the whirring machinery, then backtrack outside for the explosive finale. Eliminate any stray Nazis in the courtyard, then push the plunger and light up the night sky as youdestroy the power plant. Mission accomplished!
