Make Your Own Movie

Microsoft and Just Add Monsters, Ltd. (JAM), will soon releaseKung Fu Chaos, one weird, combat, party game. It reminds me of those beloved old kung fu movies of the '70s—the ones with the notoriously exaggerated acting, hilarious costumes, and mouths that keep moving after the dubbed words have stopped. Is it kitschy? Is it campy? Whatever it is, it cracked me up!

In the game, you're the star of your own Kung Fu movie, so you get to taunt, strut, and make the most of your own talent ... for irreverent chaos.

Chaos on the Set—Lights, Camera, Action!

Your film, however, has an added twist. It combines the funniest gags from Kung Fu flicks with familiar film settings. The actors must not only survive each other, but they must also do so in shifting, dangerous, movie set environments, such as a sinking cruise ship, a jungle with a people-eating dinosaur, and a steel cityscape invaded by aliens with laser beams. It sounds strange, and well, it is. That's really the best way to describe it—strange and hella amusing.

Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting

In the game, you choose from quirky martial artists (including neon ninjas, disco queens, and even a black-belt monkey). You can pit your skills against the game or against up to three friends, and you can have your ninja go solo or team up with another. Each character has a unique fighting style, super-duper moves, and snide commentary that enhance the drama.

Slice, Dice, Grab, Slam ... Cut!

More than half the fun involves the various movie sets. My personal favorite has piranha that swarm in to chew you up every time you fall into the river. It's delightfully hilarious. So, if you're looking for light-hearted entertainment, this game is a hoot!

Okay, that's a wrap.
