In feudal Japan, it was kill or be killed for the samurai. Kengo: Legend of the 9 lets you battle as one of nine famous historical samurai warriors as you become a Kengo Master to gain an advantage over your foes. These Kengo Masters lived and died by the sword, carving out their place in history as courageous ancient warriors. This is the story of the legendary nine whose destinies were inevitably intertwined … and laced with bloodshed.

  • Historical background: Play as any one of nine historical samurai warriors, each with unique attacks and attributes, including Musashi Miyamoto, Jubei Yagyu, Sanako Chiba, Ittosai Ito, Izo Okada, Soji Okita, Kojiro Sasaki, Ryoma Sakamoto, and Yasubi Horibe. Take part in battles based on real-life historical events such as the raid of the Kira mansion and the battle at Ganryujima.
  • Multiple game modes: Play the Main Mode as you advance your character's storyline, the Mission Mode where you must complete missions in a set amount of time, the 2-player head-to-head Combat Mode, or the Xbox LIVE® Contest where your character takes on opponents, and your rank increases or decreases depending on the outcome.
  • Upgradeable characters: Earn experience points in battle to upgrade your samurai's attributes and unlock new attacks. Collect and use Spirit Spheres to increase your samurai's health, stamina, attack power, and defense.
  • Special attacks: Edit your own range of diverse combo attacks. Perform instant kills by mastering grapple moves and using the environment to your advantage.
